Load Assist is an Australian freight marketplace. Shippers post a consignment, verified carriers quote on it, and payment is held in escrow until it’s delivered.

To make moving freight in Australia straightforward for both sides of the deal — shippers who need a carrier they can trust, and carriers who need work that pays without being chased. Transparent pricing, real visibility, and money that’s protected until the job is done.
Our Story
Load Assist came out of time spent inside Australian freight, and a problem visible from both sides of it. Small and medium businesses struggled to find a carrier they could be confident in. Independent carriers and small fleets struggled to fill trucks — and then struggled again to get paid for the ones they did fill.
So we built the thing that sits between them. Carriers clear identity, insurance and vehicle-document checks before they can see a job, let alone quote on one. Shippers compare real quotes side by side instead of collecting phone numbers. Payment is captured into escrow on acceptance and released when delivery is confirmed, so neither party is carrying the other’s risk.
We’re opening the marketplace to carriers and shippers across Australia now. If you move freight, or move freight for a living, we’d like you on it early.
How We Work
- Trust & Safety
- Carriers clear business-identity, insurance and vehicle-document checks before they can quote. Payment sits in escrow until the shipper confirms delivery.
- Transparency
- The platform fee is published and scales with job size — 10% under $250, 9% to $1,000, 7% above. What you’re quoted is what you pay.
- Accountability
- Ratings, on-time percentage and cancellation rate follow a carrier from job to job. Disputes carry photos, timestamps and messages attached to the booking.
- One System
- Posting, quoting, booking, payment, review and dispute all live in one place — instead of email, phone calls and a chased invoice.
- Built For The Trade
- Loads are described the way the industry describes them: dimensions, weight, pallet counts, and what’s available to load with at each end.
- Australia-Wide
- Every state and territory is in scope, for general freight through to vehicle transport, heavy haul, refrigerated and livestock.
Who’s Building This
Load Assist is built by people with real working experience in Australian freight and logistics — which is the only reason we knew what to build. The compliance checks, the escrow release points, the way a load gets described down to what’s available to lift it: none of that came from a whiteboard.
We’re a small team, and we answer our own support. If something on the platform doesn’t work the way it should, you’ll be talking to someone who can fix it rather than someone reading from a script.
